Today, he continues to work hard while relaxing with several hobbies that include enjoying classic muscle cars, collecting hard-to-find Lego sets and maintaining his prized outdoor Koi pond. With his wife Sandra, Savage of New Canaan has established the Savage-Rivera Honduras relief foundation that collects necessary articles like clothes, bedding, toys and books for impoverished families in the region.
